My courtyard turf stays damp and smells. Is it the drainage?
Usually it is airflow, not drainage. A walled Tuscany courtyard traps still air, and turf that would dry in two hours in the open takes most of a day. That is enough for mildew to establish at the backing. It clears with extraction plus antimicrobial, and it will keep returning at that interval as long as the space stays enclosed.
My putting green has gotten slow. Can you help?
Yes. Green speed on a synthetic surface is a function of sand infill depth and fibre orientation, and both drift over time. We check depth against spec, level it, and set the nap with a light directional groom. We do not run a power broom over a putting surface.
I back onto the golf course and I get weeds along that fence line only.
Course irrigation overspray. You are getting water and dissolved fertiliser on that strip that the rest of your lawn never sees, which makes it the one part of your turf where seed can actually establish. It needs clearing plus a pre-emergent on that boundary specifically.
